 You won’t believe who came today!  The navy came to our school and they were talking about the ship.  Some of our students asked, “What do you have on your left chest?” and they said it was an award.

New York Cares at Alain L. Locke Elementary

PS 208 partnered with New York Cares for a very special afternoon.  Volunteers visited Alain L. Locke Elementary to paint a beautiful new mural on our playground and play kickball with students.  Watch students help the volunteers warm up!

PS 208 Clean-Up

As part of their observance of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, students at Alain L. Locke Elementary participated in a community clean-up.  During their recess students at PS 208 made sure that their playground and schoolyard was free of litter.  A little bit of teamwork goes a long way!

Hands on New York Day

Staff members from Alain L. Locke Elementary participated in New York Cares Hands on New York Day this past Saturday.  Working at a local park, PS 208 staff cleaned out an overgrown garden, planted new bushes and spread grass seed.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support our community!
