Environmental Books: My Life with the Chimpanzees

Student Reporter Jeremiah:

Last Monday, I read the book by Jane Goodall, My Life with the Chimpanzees. As with environmental theme of our fine school, we want to relate this book to our school.  Jane loves animals and wants to keep the animals safe from hunters or poachers.  At our school, we don’t want all this violence that happens everyday. Also, Jane loves to travel to lots of places to gather information to tell the world about it. At our school, we go on lots of trips and take our bookbag for notes that we can write.

Plot Summary: Jane Goodall is on her way to Gombe, Africa. On her way, she encounters various animals. But she walks into a community of wild chimpanzees.
