City Readers

City Readers visited Alain L. Locke to donate books to our school and speak to students about the importance of reading.  As a result of donations collected by this organization, every classroom library at PS 208 will receive brand new books.  Thank you City Readers! OASIS Presents “Trouble in Olympus”

On Wednesday, May 26th at 6PM OASIS afterschool program will present a Motown musical titled “Trouble in Olympus.” When Zeus and Hera have an argument, Hades sees an opportunity to create trouble.  Join Hermes and the Muses as they try to keep Olympus from falling apart. New York Cares at Alain L. Locke Elementary

Hands on New York Day

Staff members from Alain L. Locke Elementary participated in New York Cares Hands on New York Day this past Saturday.  Working at a local park, PS 208 staff cleaned out an overgrown garden, planted new bushes and spread grass seed.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support our community! PS 208 on NY1

Alain L. Locke Elementary School was featured on NY1 this weekend!  In celebration of their NYer of the Week, Andrea Wenner founder of the non-profit Out 2 Play, NY 1 visited PS 208.  Alain L. Urban Adventures: Metropolitan Museum of Art
