Basketball Clinic is lots of fun! The volunteers from New York Cares teach us the fundamentals of basketball. We run drills and have a great time. Students go to Basketball Clinic every other Saturday. In basketball clinic we show our competitive side and have fun doing it!

The Locke Lions played their last game this past Friday. In a 28-22 win, the Lions beat the Jaguars from PS 134. Locke Lion Jamel attributes the team’s success to their confidence and belief that they could win. The next basketball game for the Locke Lions will be held after Spring Recess!

This past February the Locke Lions challenged the staff of Alain L. Locke Elementary to a basketball game. In a close match that ended in overtime, the staff of PS 208 was victorious. The Locke Lions can’t wait for a rematch!

Students and staff at PS 208 Alain L. Locke Elementary will be participating in their
1st Annual Cultural Field Day
this Wednesday, June 24th.
The day will be filled with games, activities, face painting and cultural diversity. Students and staff will be wearing clothes and sharing foods that celebrate their cultural backgrounds.
