What is Dads Take Your Child to School Day? How Does it Work?
- Schools and educational settings from around New York State are encouraging fathers and significant male caregivers to bring their children to school on September 20, 2012.
- Fathers and significant male caregivers will be encouraged to arrive with their children 15 to 30 minutes before the start of class.
- They will be welcomed guests at their children’s school or Head Start program. Locations might have information and activities available.
- This is the 6th year of Dads Take Your Child to School. Starting with just one school in 2006, this Initiative now takes place at over 200 schools and Head Start Programs throughout New York State.
