This past winter saxophonist Mike Phillips visited Alain L. Locke Elementary for a special concert. Mike Phillips is a Hidden Beach NAACP Image Award nominated saxophonist who has toured with superstars such as Prince, Babyface, Brian McKnight and Jill Scott. Students had the opportunity to get on stage, ask questions, and learn all about the journey Mike Phillips has taken in order to accomplish his dreams.
