The regular season recently ended with the Lions finishing with an 11-1 record, good enough to clinch a first round bye in the playoffs.
Alain L. Locke -P.S. 208 team’s greatest test came in the final game of the regular season, when the previously undefeated Lions walked into P.S 83’s gym, complacently expecting to cruise to a 12-0 season. For the first time, the team had to deal with the concept of losing but it was the best thing that has happened to them. It served as a serious wake-up call: team members momentarily forgot that everything achieved to date had been earned, not simply granted.


With our cheerleaders unparalleled enthusiasm to lead us on, the team has responded with an intense focus, unexpected leaders have emerged, camaraderie has risen to an all-time high, the passion and hunger are evident, and it is clear that the Lions know they have some unfinished business.
In their most recent game, the Lions rebounded with a decisive semifinal playoff victory over P.S. 57, and now await their opponent in the championship game.
