Governor’s Island is open to the public every Friday, Satruday and Sunday until October 11th for the 2009 season.
There are events, fun activities, and performances planned for every weekend.
The ferry ride and admission to Governors Island is FREE.
BIKES FOR KIDS AND ADULTS ARE FREE ON FRIDAYS - and can be rented at other Times.
Located in the heart of New York Harbor, Governors Island is only 800 yards from Lower Manhattan, and even closer to Brooklyn. Governors Island has more than five miles of car-free biking, acres of green space for picnics, art exhibitions, performances, and much more. Enjoy your City!
